Michael Selwood, a British content creator, was found dead on July 19, hours after he had been reported missing. He was 35.
A spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Police told PEOPLE in a statement that the influencer was discovered dead at around 5 p.m. on Sunday.
“Michael’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers at this difficult time,” the spokesperson added. “We would like to thank everyone who shared and supported this appeal.”
Police had previously shared a public appeal saying Selwood had last been seen on July 18 at around 8 p.m. in Dukinfield, England.
Selwood maintained a following of over 22,000 on TikTok, where he shared fitness content and videos of him in a boxing ring. In his Instagram bio, he wrote, “Here just living my single best life drop follow come along for the ride 💪🚕.”
He seemingly last updated his social media accounts on July 14, sharing a video lip syncing to the Gabriela Bee and Prinz song “Highs & Lows.”
In the comments of his post, fans shared tributes to the late internet personality.
“Rest in peace🕊️” one wrote.
