The best one is “hard to beat.”

The best one is “hard to beat.”

Executive Culinary Developer Nicole McLaughlin recently put five celebrity-approved breakfast recipes to the test to find out “whose morning routine is worth copying and whose should stay in Hollywood.” Which celeb’s meal handily beat out the competition? The answer might surprise you.

Oprah Winfrey’s 4-Ingredient Scrambled Eggs

Oprah’s easy scrambled egg recipe has a genius secret ingredient: truffle cheese.

Nicole used a truffle Gouda and loved the “delicate” flavor it added, but noted that you can grate truffle directly into the eggs for more potency.

“I feel like this is the kind of scrambled egg I would make on the weekend when I can actually sit and savor,” she said. “It’s very delightful.”

Gordon Ramsay’s Breakfast Sandwich

Gordon Ramsay’s go-to breakfast sandwich—which features sausage, bacon, eggs, and tomatoes—is basically a full English breakfast stuffed between two slices of bread.

Though Nicole will probably toast the bread next time she makes it, she called the hearty breakfast “amazing.”

Bobby Flay’s Bacon, Egg, and Cheese

Nicole liked Bobby Flay’s favorite breakfast sandwich just a little bit more than Ramsay’s.

“While this one might not look as impressive as Gordon’s, the flavor is spot on and the way the bread holds this one all together might give it the slight edge. Plus, it’s already at a little bit of an advantage because it’s my sandwich of choice.”

Princess Diana’s Overnight Oats

The Princess of Wales ate the same healthy breakfast every single day, according to her former chef Darren McGrady

McGrady steeped the oats for her overnight oats in orange juice rather than milk, a surprising choice that Nicole ended up loving.

“It is really juicy, sweet, and refreshing,” Nicole said. “After those super-rich breakfasts I’ve just had, Diana knew a good thing when she saw it in the healthy breakfast category.”

The Rock’s French Toast

Nicole’s favorite recipe of the bunch was unequivocally The Rock’s French toast. Topped with a peanut butter-, tequila-, and coconut cream-infused maple syrup, the decadent breakfast “is really hard to beat,” she declared.
