Together with Professor Ben Parris, a brain scientist, we have created four games that will put your cognitive health to the test.

The games you are about to play are used in clinical settings to detect cognitive decline. They challenge the areas of the brain you need for everything from cooking to holding a conversation.

This activity all happens in the brain’s frontal lobes, which are located just behind your forehead and deteriorate as you get older. Testing this part of your brain is a good measure of how it’s actually ageing.

Ben Parris is a professor of cognition and cognitive neuroscience in Bournemouth University’s School of Psychology. He is also co-founder of the university’s Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Research Centre.
