In Moonlight Peaks, there are multiple mushroom circles scattered around the map. These are called Witch Circles and function as fast travel points in the game that you can teleport between.
However, to activate them, you first have to unlock and use the Wanderer’s Hex spell, a unique spell that can’t be bought. Here’s how this works.
How to Unlock Teleportation Spell in Moonlight Peaks
Unlock Wanderer’s Hex
The Teleport Spell in Moonlight Peaks is called Wanderer’s Hex. To unlock this spell, you have to get Sabrina’s Friendship to 4 Hearts to trigger the 4 Heart event “With a Bang.” After this event is over, sleep in your coffin to pass the day.
When you exit the house the next night, you’ll receive a letter from Sabrina in the mail, titled “A New Spell.” After reading this letter, you’ll automatically learn Wanderer’s Hex.

How to Activate Mushroom Circles in Moonlight Peaks
Use Wanderer’s Hex
To activate Mushroom Circles as teleportation hubs, you have to cast the Wanderer’s Hex spell when you’re near or inside them. Casting the Wanderer’s Hex once will unlock the Witch Circle as a teleportation point permanently; you won’t have to use it again to use the fast travel function.
- How to Cast Wanderer’s Hex: Up → Right → Down → Left → Up → Right → Down → Left → Up
After two or more mushroom circles have been activated, you’ll be able to travel between them freely, without any mana cost or other caveats.
The Wanderer’s Hex spell requires 4 mana to cast, which means the default mana you have (3) won’t cut it. To be able to cast it, you will first have to get at least one Arcane Flame (+1 Max Mana upgrade).
The easiest Arcane Flame to get is the one being sold at the Webb of Wonders for 10,000 Coins. Alternatively, you can also go after the Arcane Flame that’s sold at the Midnight Market during the Evernight Festival for 399 Evernight Coins.
All Mushroom Circle Locations in Moonlight Peaks
There are a total of 5 mushroom circles in Moonlight Peaks:
- Misty Shores: Southeast of the Moonlight Tower, in the bottom right corner of the area.
- Moonlight Peaks (Town): Behind The Broken Lamp, in the eastern part of town.
- Moonlit Pines: Southwest of Fiona’s House, south of the Crystal Cave’s entrance.
- Howling Marshes: East of the bridge that leads to Luna Bay, in the middle of the landmass on the top right corner of the region.
- Moonlit Slopes: At the bottom of the steps that lead up to the Moon Goddess’s house, right next to the entrance.
The Moonlit Slopes area only becomes accessible after you unlock the Bat Form.
