The House Ways and Means Committee subpoenaed three left-wing nonprofits with ties to Marxist tech tycoon Neville Roy Singham. 

The subpoenas are part of an investigation into more than $39 million that went from Signham to the nonprofits, Fox News reported

The three nonprofits are People's Forum Inc., a New York-based activist hub; BreakThrough News, a left-wing nonprofit media outlet; and Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research. 

The committee alleges that the three nonprofits failed to turn over any documents responding to earlier requests for information.
