Here's the last date you can eat at Little Bull's original location

This is the last week to catch a meal at an acclaimed Durham restaurant’s original location, before it makes a big move downtown.

Little Bull, the Michelin-rated restaurant from Oscar Diaz, will wind down operations at its 810 N Mangum St., holding its last service Sunday, July 26.

The restaurant is set to reopen at its new downtown location at 301 E. Chapel Hill Street in Durham, about one half mile from Little Bull’s current spot. The new Little Bull is set to open Tuesday, Aug. 4.

Since its debut in 2023, Little Bull has been one of Durham’s most popular and celebrated restaurants. Serving a tapas style menu of modern Mexican dishes, with standouts like a charred grilled octopus over beans, birria dumplings, house bread and butter and a shareable barbacoa. Last year Little Bull earned a Michelin Recommended distinction in the first American South guide. Earlier this year, it was named one of the Top 50 Triangle restaurants by The News & Observer.

The new Little Bull looks out on CCB Plaza, home to the famous bronze bull statue. Now multi-level, Diaz has said that the new space will allow Little Bull to expand its menu offerings, such as adding wood-fired dishes.
