War Secretary Pete Hegseth received hate for "disgustingly" praising President Donald Trump while invoking the dead U.S. soldiers killed in Jordan and Iraq over the weekend.
Since the brutal attack on a U.S. base in Jordan on Friday, Trump has promised to avenge their deaths as Washington launched airstrikes on Iran for the 10th consecutive day on Monday. However, his administration has been accused of acting callously toward the families of the slain soldiers who lost their lives in retaliatory strikes.
"It'll be an honor to join you at Dover to recognize these incredible Americans," Hegseth told President Trump in the Oval Office. "They were committed to the cause just like you are."

The latest example of this came Tuesday when Hegseth seemed to praise the president instead of focusing on the victims.
"How disgusting. He has to slather praise on dear leader when talking about dead soldiers that he got killed," one person on X posted.
"This is absolutely disgusting. It's already centering this tragedy around Trump instead of the men and women who deserve the focus," another outraged X user posted.
"Is he aware that his and Trump's stupidity is responsible for the death of these troops?" someone else asked on X.
The president caught flak himself earlier this week when his Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, announced on X that the dignified transfer of two American troops killed in retaliatory strikes from Iran was postponed indefinitely, causing an uproar online.
"The President and the entire White House are praying for their families," she added. The post was a retweet of the White House's Rapid Response account that posted an image of a Truth Social post from the president declaring that "Every time Iran kills an American Soldier they will pay for that killing many times over!"

Leavitt followed up the post by saying that, "the dignified transfer is no longer taking place tomorrow. The exact day and time are still being finalized."
Users on X slammed the Trump administration in the comments.
"Such disrespect for the families of the fallen," one person seethed on X.
"Change the date depending on whether Donnie's in the mood or not. Disgusting," they added
