Headed to see Guns N' Roses or Noah Kahan this weekend? Here's what you need to know before you go

Thousands of fans are expected to pack Carter-Finley Stadium this week as Guns N’ Roses and Noah Kahan bring back-to-back concerts to Raleigh.

Guns N’ Roses will perform Thursday, July 23, followed by Noah Kahan on Saturday, July 25.

With large crowds expected at both shows, NC State is encouraging concertgoers and anyone traveling through the area to plan ahead for traffic, parking and summer heat.

Parking lots for both concerts will open at 1:30 p.m., but drivers should expect increased traffic beginning as early as 12:30 p.m. and continuing through about 6:30 p.m.

Drivers near Carter-Finley Stadium, Trinity Road, Blue Ridge Road, Edwards Mill Road and Interstate 40 should allow extra travel time before and after each concert.

State transportation officials will post “Expect Delays” messages on electronic highway signs throughout the region leading up to the concerts. On show days, those signs will display concert-specific traffic information.

Officials also remind drivers that traffic patterns for the concerts will be different from those used during NC State football games. Drivers should follow posted signs and directions from parking attendants and law enforcement officers.

Concertgoers are encouraged to purchase parking before arriving at Carter-Finley Stadium to speed up entry into parking lots.

Those who wait until the day of the concert can still purchase parking for $60 upon arrival. Stadium officials ask guests to be prepared to pay with a credit card or Apple Pay to help keep traffic moving.

With tens of thousands of people expected at each concert, stadium officials recommend arriving well before the scheduled start time to avoid the heaviest traffic and long entry lines.

Officials also encourage ticket holders to review event information before heading to the stadium to stay up to date on any changes.

With hot temperatures expected, plan ahead to stay hydrated.

Water stations and cooling areas will be available throughout the venue. Guests can bring one sealed bottle of water up to 20 ounces or one reusable water bottle up to 32 ounces.

NC State says staff will closely monitor weather conditions throughout both events.

If severe weather affects either concert, updates will be shared through the stadium’s public address system, videoboards and Pack Athletics social media accounts. Fans can also sign up for emergency text alerts by texting GOPACK to 67283.
