"Destiny 2" players have discovered a surprisingly simple way to farm one of the game's most frustrating Dungeon encounters without relying on a full fireteam. A powerful Solar Warlock build can reportedly make the Zoetic Lockset encounter in the Sundered Doctrine Dungeon far easier by creating a chain of Solar Ignitions that can deal massive damage with minimal direct intervention.
The strategy has attracted attention from players looking for efficient ways to farm Dungeon loot, particularly those who prefer solo activities or want to reduce the difficulty of repeated encounters.
'Destiny 2' Update Expands Buildcrafting Options
The discovery comes during a major period of change for "Destiny 2". Bungie announced that the game would receive its final major update, "Monument of Triumph," on June 9, bringing active development toward its planned conclusion.
According to GameRant, the update has nevertheless given veteran and returning players new ways to experiment with builds. It introduced new armor sets, expanded weapon perk pools, and seven Artifacts designed to support different combat styles.
Several subclasses also received new options. Solar Titans, Void Hunters, and Void Warlocks gained new Aspects, while Stasis and Strand received additional grenade choices.
Solar Warlock Build Simplifies Zoetic Lockset
"Destiny 2" player ItsNotSoar recently showed a method for tackling the Zoetic Lockset encounter using a Solar Warlock build centered around the Dawn Chorus Exotic.
The setup combines Incinerator Snap, Ember of Char, Ember of Ashes, and the Solar Fulmination Artifact mod from Hunter's Journal. Together, these abilities and perks allow players to create powerful chains of Scorch effects and Solar Ignitions.
The strategy begins by using Incinerator Snap on the leftmost Lockset before moving into a safer position behind cover. Once the chain reaction starts, repeated Ignitions can spread through nearby sections of the encounter.
If executed correctly, the cascading explosions can continue damaging the boss without requiring the player to remain exposed for extended periods.
According to the demonstration, the strategy can potentially deal enough damage to complete the encounter in a single damage phase.
Although the original demonstration included additional players, ItsNotSoar explained that the encounter can be completed solo.
Healing Abilities Improve Solo Survivability
The strategy is not completely risk-free. Players may still take damage while waiting behind cover, making survivability an important part of the build.
Fortunately, Solar Warlocks have access to several healing tools. Healing Grenade, Healing Rift, and Song of Flame can help players recover health and survive incoming attacks during the encounter.
With the right combination of abilities and defensive effects, players can activate Incinerator Snap, retreat to cover, and allow the Ignition chain to handle much of the damage while using healing abilities whenever necessary.
Sundered Doctrine Farm Offers Valuable Loot
The Zoetic Lockset encounter is particularly appealing for players who want to farm Sundered Doctrine rewards. The encounter can drop weapons such as Unloved, Unsworn, and Unvoiced, as well as Sundered Doctrine armor pieces for the helmet, arms, and legs.
The farm can become even more attractive when Sundered Doctrine is the featured Dungeon, allowing players to repeatedly target its loot pool. High-tier armor is another potential reward, while desirable weapon drops can provide additional reasons to repeat the encounter.
For "Destiny 2" players searching for a relatively low-effort farming strategy, the Solar Warlock Ignition build offers an interesting yet intriguing option.
