Unsealed court filings revealed the details of violent rape allegations against Andrew and Tristan Tate, which led to their arrest over the weekend by U.S. Marshals.
The new charges from the U.K. Crown Prosecution Service, stemming from alleged offenses between July 2010 and August 2017, include 32 charges against Andrew Tate and six charges against Tristan Tate. The charges against Andrew Tate include seven further counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and 19 charges relating to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. Tristan Tate was hit with one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.
The details of three of the alleged rapes were revealed in court documents, two by Andrew Tate and one by Tristan Tate. The details were consistent across each accusation, with the brothers allegedly choking the women until they passed out during sex, and in several cases, the women said they feared for their lives.
One alleged victim met Andrew Tate through a dating app and first had consensual sex, but later he allegedly visited her and pinned her down by the throat during the act, in a way that made her “afraid he would not stop and was going to kill her."
Another woman said Andrew Tate put her in a "chokehold, which prevented her from breathing and caused her to lose consciousness."
One woman said that in a sexual encounter lasting hours, Andrew Tate "repeatedly" placed her in chokeholds, and would only release "for brief intervals to allow her to breathe."
In a 2019 YouTube video linked in earlier filings, Andrew Tate bragged about his choking of women, telling his viewers, "choke her so she can barely f***ing breathe. Tell her she’s yours forever. They’re going to believe it. You can program them."
Tristan Tate was alleged by a woman to have choked her unconscious during sex, then slapped her awake.
The Tate brothers' political protection may have run out, too. The Department of Justice said that only Secretary of State Marco Rubio can block their extradition to the United Kingdom, and sources familiar with the matter told Axios that he had no intention of doing so.
"Marco thinks these guys are scum," a source told the outlet. Another familiar with President Donald Trump's thinking said he wanted nothing to do with them.
The influencers are two of the most controversial figures on the internet today, with legions of fans and detractors. They have made a name for themselves by giving polarizing financial, lifestyle, and romantic advice to a largely young male audience. Before their internet fame, they made a fortune running a webcam pornography business, wealth they used to help boost their online presence.
In 2014, Andrew Tate began his pornographic webcamming empire, recruiting women by dating and plying them with gifts. He would later provide detailed instructions to his paying followers on how to entrap women into “sexual slavery,” according to a lengthy profile in the New Yorker, in a series of tutorials he called his Ph.D., or “Pimping Hoes Degree.”

The Tate brothers have been in and out of legal trouble for over a decade, but the most serious allegations began in 2022, when Romanian police raided his compound to rescue a girl Tristan Tate flew in from Miami and tried to coerce into doing pornography. As the conditions of the compound came to light, the two were soon charged with rape, sex trafficking, and running a criminal enterprise. The Romanian government instituted a travel ban, but the two were able to have the ban lifted and fly to the U.S. after pressure from the Trump administration. Procedural issues have indefinitely delayed the Romanian case.
The duo has repeatedly claimed the cases against them are entirely political, blaming malicious forces they call "the Matrix."
