College Football 27's Dynasty mode is more than just winning matches. Good performance on the field is largely influenced by your management of the school and the program off the field, which is why you must invest in the best Support Staff.
Support Staff is one of the four major areas in the Dynasty mode where you can spend points. It's quite similar to buying equipment for the facility. Each Support Staff option offers a passive buff in exchange for a certain amount of points. The tier of the Support Staff, the price, and its effectiveness matter greatly when it comes to acquiring the strongest buffs.
Best Support Staff in College Football 27 (Best Order)
- Acquisition Department.
- Fundraising.
- Senior Director of Player Personnel.
- Sports Performance / Recruiting Operations Department.
The first and most important support staff to hire is the Acquisition Department. It's crucial to get it first. With this, you will spend 50% less on any support staff that you hire from now on. This is a huge discount and a massive budget-saver. It's a platinum support staff and costs 1,000 Dynasty Points.
If you are already struggling with your budget or want to go big on recruitment, you can consider the lower-tier versions of the same support staff:
- Acquisition Team (Gold): Costs 500 points and grants a 40% discount.
- Acquisition Lead (Silver): Costs 250 points and grants a 30% discount.
- Acquisition Assistant (Bronze): Costs 100 points and grants a 15% discount.
The only time that you can bypass purchasing an Acquisition Department (or its low-tier versions) is when you only have one support staff slot available, and you don't plan on expanding it anytime soon. While this will steer you away from building a long-term program, some schools have an impatient demeanor, and you have to focus on short-term results. If this is more your style, you can ignore the Acquisition Department and go with the Fundraising Department as your first support staff.
Fundraising should ideally be your second option. The whole reason why you would get the Acquisition Department first is to save money on the Fundraising Department. The benefit of Fundraising is similar to investing money in a profitable business. You pay a set amount of Dynasty Points at the beginning of the season, and you receive a larger amount at the End of Season Recap. But keep in mind that this is not a repeatable action. You get this only once.
Here is how much you pay and how much you get with each tier of Fundraising:
- Fundraising Department (Platinum): Costs 1,250 points and grants 1,700 points at the End of Season Recap.
- Costs 625 points with the Acquisition Department.
- Fundraising Team (Gold): Costs 750 points and grants 1,050 points at the End of Season Recap.
- Costs 375 points with the Acquisition Department.
- Fundraising Lead (Silver): Costs 350 points and grants 500 points at the End of Season Recap.
- Costs 175 points with the Acquisition Department.
- Fundraising Coordinator (Bronze): Costs 150 points and grants 250 points at the End of Season Recap.
- Costs 75 points with the Acquisition Department.
Now, the costs above are the raw points you have to pay without the bonus from the Acquisition Department. But if we apply the cost reduction coming from your first hired support staff, it will make a huge difference.
Keep in mind that the amount of points you receive at the End of Season Recap remains the same. This is the magic of the Acquisition Department, and it is not limited to Fundraising only, as it will save you more Dynasty Points down the line.
Senior Director of Player Personnel should be your next shot at the Support Staff slots. It will reduce the expected NIL players on your roster, as well as the prospects or transfer portal targets.
The amount of reduction you get is not as much as the discount you receive with the Acquisition Department, but it is still a good investment for the seasons when you want to hire more than a few players. Spending 30% less on a player who expects around 90 points might seem negligible, but when you sum up the costs of recruitment and keeping the current roster together over several seasons, it becomes a big saving.
- Senior Director of Player Personnel (Platinum): Costs 1,500 points and reduces expected NIL by 30%.
- Costs 750 points with the Acquisition Department.
- Director of Player Personnel (Gold): Costs 1,000 points and reduces expected NIL by 20%.
- Costs 500 points with the Acquisition Department.
- Contract Specialist (Silver): Costs 500 points and reduces expected NIL by 15%.
- Costs 250 points with the Acquisition Department.
- Recruiting Assistant (Bronze): Costs 150 points and reduces expected NIL by 10%.
- Costs 75 points with the Acquisition Department.
The problem with the Senior Director of Player Personnel is that it's way too expensive. Even with the Acquisition Department, it still eats up a big chunk of your budget. Of course, it's not the best support staff, but among all the options we have, this is the third-best.
With this out of the way, we have two more slots and two more support staff remaining. Sports Performance seems like a better option as it boosts the XP progression during the off-season, but it is also the most expensive support staff.
- Sports Performance Department (Platinum): Costs 1,750 points and increases offseason progression by 20%.
- Costs 875 points with the Acquisition Department.
- Sports Performance Analysis Team (Gold): Costs 1,000 points and increases offseason progression by 15%.
- Costs 500 points with the Acquisition Department.
- Strength and Conditioning Lead (Silver): Costs 500 points and increases offseason progression by 10%.
- Costs 250 points with the Acquisition Department.
- Strength and Conditioning Assistant (Bronze): Costs 150 points and increases offseason progression by 5%.
- Costs 75 points with the Acquisition Department.
Your other option for the fourth slot is the Recruiting Operations Department, which increases the recruiting hours you have to spend on prospects or transfer portal targets. This could only be worth it if you want to sign a long list of players. Usually, you get enough recruiting hours to compete for over 10 players simultaneously. So, consider this option as your fifth and final option, as it is something quite situational.
- Recruiting Operations Dept. (Platinum): Costs 1,500 points and increases recruiting hours by 40%.
- Costs 750 points with the Acquisition Department.
- Recruiting Operations Team (Gold): Costs 1,000 points and increases recruiting hours by 30%.
- Costs 500 points with the Acquisition Department.
- Recruiting Coordinator (Silver): Costs 500 points and increases recruiting hours by 20%.
- Costs 250 points with the Acquisition Department.
- Recruiting Assistant (Bronze): Costs 150 points and increases recruiting hours by 10%.
- Costs 75 points with the Acquisition Department.
