Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Isaiah Adams is “completely innocent” of the gun charges he is facing in Canada, his attorney told The Arizona Republic, and Adams will report to Cardinals training camp on time on Wednesday, July 22, in Tempe.
Adams, who turned 26 on Tuesday, July 21, turned himself into the Durham Regional Police on Sunday, July 19, near Toronto, and is facing charges for possessing a weapon by crime, possessing a restricted or prohibited firearm without a license, possessing a loaded firearm and possessing a prohibited device.
“Isaiah is completely innocent in this matter – he had no knowledge of any firearm, and he will be fully exonerated,” attorney Adam Weisberg told The Republic.

Adams’ sister, Allyson Mae Adams, 27, faces the same charges.
The siblings were among four people arrested as part of an investigation by the Durham Regional Police Department’s Guns and Gangs Unit, according to a news release, which outlined the charges. The other two people were arrested on charges of trafficking fentanyl, after police found more than three kilograms of the drug in their vehicle.
The Cardinals selected Adams with a third-round pick out of Illinois in 2024.
He has started 16 games in two seasons, including 11 last year, and is a projected starter at right guard this season. The team’s first training camp practice is Thursday, July 23.
“We are aware of the situation involving Isaiah Adams,” a Cardinals spokesperson told The Republic. “Out of respect for the process, we will refrain from commenting further at this time.”
