The Kentucky Wildcats coaching staff is coming off an eventful few days during which most of them spent time in Augusta, Georgia, at Peach Jam. The staff watched some of the best high school talent in the nation, some of whom received a UK offer.
Class of 2028 4-star guard Brady Pettigrew announced on Tuesday that he had received an offer from Kentucky. Pettigrew led the 16U in scoring at Peach Jam, averaging 23.6 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.4 stocks, while shooting 47.2% from the field and 46.2% from deep.
In his final two games of the week, Pettigrew scored 26 points, then followed up that performance with a 32-point outing.
The Illinois native currently ranks as the No. 19 player nationally, No. 1 combo guard, and the No. 1 player in the state of Illinois, according to 247 Sports.
Pettigrew has taken a few unofficial visits as he’s early in the recruiting process. He’s been to Missouri, Memphis, and Illinois. The first-ever 16U EYBL MVP will now start hearing from some of the top basketball schools in the nation, so expect more heavy hitters to jump into the mix along with Kentucky.
