Anthony Pompliano, CEO of Professional Capital Management, playfully teased on Wednesday his upcoming podcast featuring Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) critic Peter Schiff.

Big Clash Incoming?

The podcast centers on a debate titled “Is Bitcoin a bubble?” Pompliano dropped a couple of promotions to build buzz around the podcast scheduled on Thursday: one friendly vibe and one intense face-off with Schiff.

“My crazy uncle Peter Schiff came to get the intellectual beatdown he deserves,” he said, continuing his banter with the economist.

What Went Down When They Last Met”

The two last faced off in a June interview, where Pompliano got Schiff to admit that Bitcoin isn’t going to zero.

Schiff later told Benzinga that, with so many people now owning Bitcoin, its price dropping to zero in the foreseeable future is "highly unlikely," though for all practical purposes, it will be worthless.

The Skeptic And the Supporter

Schiff has a long track record of calling Bitcoin a “bubble” and leads the pack in Bitcoin obituaries, having declared it ‘dead’ as many as 23 times.

He aggressively promotes gold as the ultimate safe-haven, while deriding Bitcoin as a worthless asset.

Interestingly, Schiff said earlier in the month that he regrets not buying Bitcoin when he first learned about the apex cryptocurrency. But he soon added that it’s a thing of the past, and he wouldn’t buy Bitcoin even if it crashed to $20,000.”

Pompliano, on the other hand, remains a Bitcoin permabull. He has stressed the importance of holding Bitcoin as a “hedge” against dollar debasement and remains optimistic about the coin eventually reaching $1 million over time.

Price Action: At the time of writing, BTC was exchanging hands at $65,759.16, down 0.43% over the last 24 hours, according to data from Benzinga Pro.
