JOHANNESBURG, July 20 (Reuters) - South Africa's Aspen Pharmacare said on Monday that its Canadian subsidiary had received regulatory approval from Health Canada for Aspen-Semaglutide, a generic semaglutide injectable used to treat adults with type 2 diabetes. Semaglutide is the active ingredient found in Novo Nordisk's blockbuster Ozempic diabetes treatment and Wegovy weight-loss medicine. (

JOHANNESBURG, July 20 (Reuters) - South Africa's Aspen Pharmacare said on Monday that its Canadian subsidiary had received regulatory approval from Health Canada for Aspen-Semaglutide, a generic semaglutide injectable used to treat adults with type 2 diabetes.
