Arkansas officially added a major piece to its 2026-2027 basketball roster on Tuesday. Four-star big man Caleb Ourigou, who committed to the Razorbacks a week ago, announced he will reclassify to the 2026 class.
Fans and coaching staffs alike anticipated Ourigou to reclassify during his recruitment process. He made it official after weeks of assumptions. The newest Razorback waited until after the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League’s Peach Jam Invitational.
If Ourigou reclassified before Peach Jam, he would not be allowed to play in it. Because it is such a big deal and such high-level competition for the players involved, he opted to delay his reclassification.
Ourigou is not the only player to make this decision. Fellow commit and Peach Jam attendee Davion Thompson also reclassed last Friday and will play for the Razorbacks next season.
Both will be eligible to compete in the 2026-2027 season, adding much needed depth for the Razorbacks. With Ourigou, they add a physical presence and elite rebounder.
Over five games at Peach Jam, Ourigou averaged 6.7 points and 9.8 rebounds.
