The Night We Met follows Larissa, a waitress who must pick between two different guys for a ride home from a concert one fateful night. Mike (one of the two options) is more outgoing, while Chris is more reserved and shy. Larissa ends up in the car with Mike, and the two subsequently begin a relationship. However, over time, Chris seemingly steps up more than Mike in the reliance department, and his feelings for Larissa grow. But the problem is, he is her boyfriend’s best friend, and he’s just not the type of guy to step on anyone’s toes — even if his feelings and their dynamic deeply make him want to.
The Night We Met is the second book in the Say You'll Remember Me series, following the titular first novel. The third book in the series is titled Feels Like Falling and is expected in 2027.
