Here’s the deal: I grew up in a health-conscientious household—I’m talking fig newtons for dessert and virtually no processed foods—so I’ve never had a big hankering for candy or store-bought sweets…except when it comes to good chocolate. And these bite-sized peanut butter cups pass the test.
The store has many cult-favorite items from Unexpected Cheddar Cheese and Jalapeño Limeade to the well-priced wine section’s Espiral Vino Verde—all of which are my go-to’s as well. And while the frozen prepared foods and snack sections are also full of gems, my favorite item typically sits on a shelf above the freezers among a variety of other chocolate-covered treats. While I’ve raved about these before, the product also gets high marks from many avid Trader Joe’s shoppers and foodies alike. For me, this slightly bitter-sweet dark chocolate treat with a true salty peanut butter filling is like a leveled-up Reese’s. Plus, they also have minimal added ingredients compared to other brands.

But if you don’t want the tub, they also sell small packs of individually wrapped ones by the checkout. (But I promise, you’ll want the tub.) I can’t explain it, but I swear the unwrapped ones just taste better too.
