TSMC Plans To Raise Prices, Says Report. Stock Jumps.

TSMC stock jumped on a report that the semiconductor manufacturing giant is planning to raise prices in 2027.

Taiwan Semiconductor plans to raise prices in 2027, according to a Tuesday report. TSMCTSM stock rallied in early trades.

The chip manufacturing behemoth is planning to hike prices for semiconductor production services by as much as 10%, Nikkei Asia reported, citing unnamed sources.

The price hikes were meant to reflect rising production costs and the construction of new chipmaking facilities, the report said.

TSMC is the world's biggest contract chipmaker and plays a critical role in the AI megatrend. The company recently announced results and outlook that exceeded Wall Street's expectations.

TSMC stock gained more than 3% in morning trades.
