Rep. Mace endorses Rep. Norman for SC Senate seat

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., on Tuesday threw her endorsement to Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., in the race for the Senate seat vacated by the late South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham.

Norman posted to X Tuesday, "I'm incredibly honored to receive the endorsement and support of my friend and colleague, @NancyMace!"

Norman added, "Now more than ever, South Carolina needs a PROVEN conservative fighter who will stand with President [Donald] Trump, advance the America First agenda, and help pass the SAVE America Act in the U.S. Senate!!"

Standing side by side with Norman at the Capitol, Mace declared her endorsement of Norman, calling him a "true conservative."

Norman was asked about Trump endorsing Sen. Darline Graham, R-S.C., the sister of Lindsey Graham, for the open seat. Norman responded with his respect for Trump and said he would like to earn his endorsement.

Mace and Norman made the announcement on the House steps before heading inside to vote on the budget rules.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., announced Monday he will not endorse a candidate in the race.

Thune did praise Darline Graham, who replaced her brother, saying she would be a "strong candidate."

"She obviously carries on Lindsey's legacy. But I think she's a very accomplished person in her own right. Let the voters in South Carolina decide," said Thune.
