President Trump started Wednesday at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware to attend the dignified transfer of service members killed over the weekend in Jordan and Iraq. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and Gen. Dan Caine, chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, joined him.

Ahead of the service, Trump again demanded Iran end its targeting of vessels, threatening its civilian infrastructure.

Trump is now en route to Marietta, Ga., for remarks on the economy. The visit occurs as he’s increasingly at odds with Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.), who is up for reelection.

The 25 percent tariff on most imports from Brazil begins Wednesday. Trump’s new 50 percent tariff on Canada is getting a cool reception among Republican senators. U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer will appear in front of the Senate Finance Committee in the morning to discuss the president’s trade agenda.

The House late Tuesday passed a stopgap measure that will fund the government through Dec. 4. Six Democrats joined Republicans in supporting it; one GOP member voted against it. The bill is a nonstarter in the Senate. On Wednesday, the lower chamber is expected to vote on its $95 billion budget framework.

Also late Tuesday, Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) secured the GOP nomination for Arizona governor. He’ll face Gov. Katie Hobbs (D) in November. Find more Arizona primary takeaways here.
