Matthew Stafford is still one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL when it comes to putting together go-ahead drives. He’s been pulling off comeback magic basically his whole career. Will Stafford be able to do it again?
And here’s another reality, the Los Angeles Rams have lost their last few playoff games by failing to take a lead late in the game. That happened against the Detroit Lions, the Philadelphia Eagles and last year against the Seattle Seahawks.
Of course, to be fair, the defense and or special teams haven’t quite held up their end in some cases either. Still though, there is an argument to be made that the Rams have been just one more drive away from putting together some special seasons the last few years, and they’ve come up short.
That’s not exactly on Stafford, but it does show that Stafford needs more than just his own magic to go on another Super Bowl run. He needs the team to back him up too.
