The following list includes recent reports from the Midland County Sheriff’s Office and the Midland Police Department, compiled by Tereasa Nims.
Tuesday, July 21
10:46 p.m. - Deputies were dispatched to a Jasper Township residence to assist Gladwin County Child Protective Services with the removal of a 15-year-old girl from the residence. The girl was removed without incident.
8:57 p.m. - Police responded to a suspicious situation at West Carpenter and Suncrist streets.
8:45 p.m. - Deputies were dispatched to a Midland Township residence to do a well-being check on a 40-year-old man. Deputies contacted the man, who said he didn’t need their assistance.
7:55 p.m. - Deputies responded to a report of a reckless driver in Mount Haley Township. The vehicle was not found.
6:01 p.m. - Police were called to a property damage crash at Cleveland and East Haley.
2:07 p.m. - Police responded to an injury crash at Eastman near West Hines.
8:31 a.m. - Deputies assisted the Michigan Department of Corrections in locating and apprehending a 50-year-old parolee in Hope Township for a sex offender registry violation. The man was found at a township residence, where he was arrested without incident. He was lodged in the Midland County Jail.
2:58 a.m. - A deputy, Michigan State Police, Midland police, firefighters and EMS were dispatched to US-10 in Midland Township regarding a rollover accident called in by a passerby. All personnel checked the area and were unable to locate a crash. The deputy deployed a drone to ensure the vehicle wasn't in an area that wouldn't be visible from the roadway.
2:45 a.m. - Police responded to an ordinance violation in the 900 block of W. Main Street.
1:35 a.m. - Police executed a warrant arrest in the 4000 block of N. Saginaw Road.
12:52 a.m. - Deputies assisted Michigan State Police with a suicidal person in Homer Township. Authorities spoke with the person.
