There are many Trinkets to find on your journey through Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. These Trinkets fall under three tiers: Common, Rare, and Legendary. Each Trinket provides a unique buff to Edward, making him stronger and more capable in certain situations.
While there are plenty of Trinkets to obtain in the game, not all of them are created equal. There are some that are not really worth your time finding, while others are complete game changers and can turn you into a powerhouse.
If you are wondering what the best Trinkets are for Edward, you have come to the right place. Here are the best Trinkets available in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.
Brass Bird Trinket
Rope Dart's Best Friend
The Brass Bird Trinket is a legendary Trinket, and it allows players to use their Rope Dart more often. It completely reduces the Rope Dart's cooldown by a significant amount, making it more accessible than ever. If you're a fan of using the Rope Dart to reel in enemies closer to you, pull them off ledges, and add flashy moves to combat, then this is the Trinket for you.
Unfortunately, the Brass Bird Trinket can't be found through exploration. Instead, players must own the deluxe edition of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced or purchase the Master Assassin character pack from the in-game store. While I never really like recommending players to purchase additional content for a game, unless it's a full-length DLC, I'll make an exception for this one if you have the funds to spare.
Narwhal's Horn
Smash Through Their Defenses
Since the Narwhal's Horn Trinket isn't legendary, you may be surprised to see it on this list. However, you shouldn't let its lower "Rare" status cloud your judgement as it is still one of the best Trinkets in the game. Narwhal's Horn makes it so you break enemy defenses quicker, opening them up for a Takedown and allowing you to instant-kill them.
While it's not very difficult to break an enemy's defenses by default, being able to do it quicker trivializes combat and allows you to execute more Chain Takedowns more frequently. This leads to wiping out enemy groups faster, defeating Brutes faster, etc. If you want to claim the Narwhal's Horn Trinket, you can do so by visiting Cat Island and finding it on a bookshelf on the second floor of the large mansion.
Hidden One's Sigil
Best For Stealth
Just like any other Assassin's Creed game, stealth is super important in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. However, there are some stealth sequences that are super challenging due to the large number of enemies in the area. Luckily, players can increase their chances during these encounters with the Hidden One's Sigil. This legendary Trinket makes it harder for enemies to detect you.
With the Hidden One's Sigil equipped, you will be able to stealthily make your way through enemy encampments with ease. This is especially helpful when your task is to assassinate a target and want to avoid unnecessary combat. If you want to improve your stealth, claim the Hidden One's Sigil by completing half of the Assassination Contracts.
Found Coin
Show Me The Money!
There's no denying that money, otherwise known as Reales, is very important in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. Without it, you wouldn't be able to purchase ship upgrades, stronger swords and guns, and pieces of treasure maps. Since Reales is so important, the Found Coin Trinket is incredibly valuable.
The Found Coin Trinketincreases the amount of Reales you receive from every source. In other words, you will earn more money when looting enemies and chests, boarding and seizing ships, etc. If you want to have an easier time farming money, then make sure to grab the Found Coin Trinket by finding 15 Art Pieces for the Art Lover side quest.
Black Pearl
More Takedowns
The Black Pearl is a legendary Trinket that allows players to takedown one additional enemy during a Chain Takedown. While it doesn't sound like the best thing on paper, it's actually very useful when paired with the right sword. Pairing this Trinket with a sword that has a base takedown amount of four, will increase it to a total of five. This is the highest number of takedowns you can get in the game.
In other words, after a Perfect Parry and executing a Takedown on the first enemy, you can then kill an additional four enemies with the press of a button. This essentially allows you to wipe out an entire group of foes, sometimes completing the combat encounter right off the bat. You can get the Black Pearl Trinket by restoring the Treasure Dealer store in Great Inagua and then purchasing the trinket for 60x Wine, 40x Spice, 20x Aloe, and 30x Tobacco.
Shark Teeth
The Brutes Aren't Safe Anymore
Shark Teeth is a legendary Trinket that fixes one of the game's most annoying features. Typically, players cannot Chain Takedown brute enemies, making them very difficult to deal with. However, players are able to Chain Takedown Brute enemies with the Shark Teeth Trinket equipped. This makes all combat encounters considerably easier.
If you are wondering which enemies are considered "brutes," just know that they are typically the ones that are wielding axes and have attacks that glow red. Make your life easier and unlock the ability to Chain Takedown these frustrating enemies by acquiring the Shark Teeth Trinket from the General Store for 25,000 Reales, after upgrading the store to level 3.
Templar Cross
Take Less Damage
As you progress further into Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, you will enter challenging regions where enemies deal a ton of damage. The best way to counter the amount of damage you'll receive in the harder regions, you'll want to equip the legendary Trinket, Templar Cross. This Trinket reduces melee damage from all enemies in the game.
In other words, the Templar Cross Trinket will ensure that you die less often and make combat encounters more manageable overall. It also means that you won't have to heal as often, which is always nice. Players can get the Templar Cross Trinket by completing the Damn Fine Gear side quest in Great Inagua, which requires players to complete every Templar quest.
Yax Tun Pendant
The Best Trinket In The Game
The absolute best Trinket in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is the Yax Tun Pendant. This valuable Trinket completely absorbs all gunfire, meaning you won't take any damage from enemies who use guns. This is incredibly helpful considering these attacks deal the highest amount of damage in the game.
However, since the Yax Tun Pendant is the best Trinket in the game, it is also the hardest Trinket to acquire. Players must find all 16 Mayan Stones scattered across the world to earn this Trinket, a task that can take a considerable amount of time. Still, despite the leg work involved, it is still worth it.
